Who doesn’t love Grots? They have one of the best ballistic skill in the entire army, are cheap both points wise and as a kit and are completely annoying when sitting on objectives. Any Ork Warboss worth his salt will have a ton as his disposal to fill out detachments, filling the troop tax gap where needed. I don’t always field Grots but they have saved my bacon more than once and need a little more of my respect.
When it comes to painting, there are a ton of cooler models I’d rather dedicate time to. These Grots got started in 2014 and never made it passed the undercoat phase. These days I’m trying to finish up all these partially painted projects so I don’t feel so guilty when I dive in, looking for my next project. These guys were more fun to paint than I anticipated and came together rather nicely relatively quickly. Maybe I’ll get my ass in gear and finish up the other 4 squads along with the random Ammo Runts and Mek Gun krew.
