Player Pack Updated
As expected, the first couple of games played exposed quite a few gaps in how this campaign was designed. Most notably how defenders gain tiles for battles won. These changes are effective for games played on/after 7/28/2014 without exception. Click here to download the updated player pack. Here are a few of the notable changes made:
1) Defenders who win a battle may only attempt to capture a tile if they achieve a 2:1 victory point ratio over the attacker.
2) If the winner of the battle tables his opponent, defender or attacker, no conquest roll is needed, the winner automatically captures the losing players tile.
3) If the defender is the winner, he will apply a -3 modifier to the conquest roll when attempting to capture the attacker’s tile.
4) Campaign victory conditions are based on the number of tiles owned + victory points earned at the end of the campaign.
5) Campaign Points: Players gain 6 campaign points for each battle they are the attacker and gain 3 points for each battle they are the defender. This point gain is not dependent on the outcome of the battle, but rather a reward for participating and moving along the campaign.
Conquest Roll Calculator
So the conquest roll modifiers have been throwing a few players when trying to calculate what they need to roll to conquer a defeated player’s tile. I whipped up a quick conquest roll calculator that will automatically tell you what you need to roll when you select which modifiers apply to your game. You’re not required to use it, but it’s a tool that is there to help out those not wishing to count on their fingers. Click here to try it out.
