I have most of the Ork HQ units and in my every growing lust to A, collect them all, and B, be able to make any list I can dream up; I picked up an out of production pewter Mad Dok Grotsnik from eBay. All the pieces were there (rare for OOP metal minis) and the paint that was on it didn’t look too challenging to strip. I picked it up for $14 and never looked back.
After doing my research on painted versions of the Mad Dok, I felt a little intimidated. Lots of detail like the Big Mek w/Shokk Attack Gun but a little easier as there was not as much model to paint. I feel the final results were way better than anything I thought I was capable of. This seems to be an on-going trend… I need to start believing in myself a little more. Below are just a few shots. Enjoy.
